近年研究发现,一些虫生真菌在自然界中具有双重寄主,不仅可以寄生在昆虫中,还可以定殖在植株中。虫生真菌在植物中定殖,既能促进植物生长,又能提高寄主植物抗性,这种独特的生态学功能,有助于更好地在植物保护中发挥作用。本文综述了内生性虫生真菌在植物中的定殖特性,及这种定殖特性对害虫和植物病原体的间接控制效果,探讨了虫生真菌植物内生性及其提高寄主植株对病虫害抗性的作用机理,最后提出了虫生真菌作为双重生防治剂的可能性和未来的研究方向。

Recent studies have shown that entomopathogenic fungi have dual hosts in nature, i.e., they can colonize into insect tissues as pathogen, and inoculate plant tissues as symbiont. Entomopathogenic fungi could promote plant growth and improve the resistance of host plants following inoculation. This finding indicates that the distinct ecological role of entomopathogenic fungi will be better for employing them for pest management effectively. In this study, we reviewed the colonization characteristics of endophytic fungal entomopathogens in host plants, and summarized their effects on insect pest control and plant pathogens resistance as plant endophytic fungi, and moreover, the underlying mechanism on improving the resistance of host plants to pests was discussed. Finally, future research direction of fungal entomopathogens as dual biocontrol agents was suggested and prospected.
