Abstract:
Spermidine (Spd) is important plant growth regulators that play vital roles in the environmental stress tolerance of crops. In this study, the effects of Spd against chilling stress was investigated in maize seedlings. Low temperature treatment inhibited seedling growth, while the production of superoxide radical (O2.-) and hydrogen peroxide(H2O2) and the level of membrane lipid peroxidation was increased, and the content of chlorophyll was decreased in chilled maize leaves.
