从广西玉米群体中收集到1份在喇叭口期后中上层叶片逐渐发生远轴端翻卷(外卷)的自然突变材料,对其农艺性状和叶细胞形态进行鉴定。将其与非卷叶玉米杂交构建F2∶3群体进行分子标记遗传连锁分析。结果表明,该材料为新的自然突变,初步将其命名为abaxial-rolled leaf 1(arl1),细胞学变异特征为叶片泡状细胞体积过度增大,受隐性单基因调控,基因定位区间在第2号染色体47.1~53.4之间,物理距离6.3 Mb。

A natural mutant characterized by gradually rolling middle and upper leaf layers after the flare opening stage, was collected from the maize population in Guangxi. Its agronomic characteristics, and laminal cell patterns were identified and analyzed. An F2∶3 population was constructed by hybridization with maize having no rolled leaves for genetic linkage analysis using molecular markers. The study results indicated that the new natural mutant arl1 exhibits cytological variation features, such as excessive enlargement of laminal bulliform cells. It is regulated by a single recessive gene, which was mapped within 47.1-53.4 of Chromosome 2, with a physical distance of 6.3 Mb.
